Back to School Blog Hop!

The Paper Passion is hosting it's second blog hop!!

Welcome to my blog!!! I decided to create a card using all of Tim Holtz' products. His *new* stamps, alcohol inks for the background, distress ink on the bird and sentiment, adirondack ink (cranberry) for the bird, and embossing powder for the flourish and the bird cage.

As I am a teacher, returning to work, I thought I would use this statement, "Enjoy the Journey" as we being our new academic year! Good Luck!!

You have probably arrived at my blog from Dorrie's blog - http://dorriesden.blogspot.com/. Next up is Jill (peenut23): http://jillelizabethsarginson.blogspot.com/. Please hop on over to Jill's to see her back to school creation!!

There are just a few rules for this blog hop....playing by the rules, could win you a prize! If you leave a comment on my blog and all of the others participating in the hop - The Paper Passion may have a prize for you. Make sure you end up and leave a comment at http://thepaperpassion.typepad.com/, too! Make sure you have visited and commented by end of day - August30th!

Interested in more prizes?? If you become a follower of my blog you could win a prize and another prize will be randomly selected from the comments that are left for this post!!!

So Cute!

These new magnolia stamps are so cute!!! I used glimmer mist on the paper before stamping the sun and coloured the vine, the monkey and the clouds with copic markers.

An Etsy Record for Me!

I had 3 sales on Friday!! WOW! I have only had my store for a month and I have 7 sales already! Let's hope the roll continues. I have added a few Halloween cards and hope to add some more soon. I even had a request for Christmas cards - I guess I better get busy!!
Thanks for stopping by!! Here are a few recent cards...
This new clothes line is from Stamping Bella - isn't it adorable? I found mini wooden clothes pegs to use, instead of the stamped ones that came with the image. The paper is from October Afternoon - just too cute! Here is a mini card I made - another from Stamping Bella

This is for Chris's aunt and uncle -

Thanks for looking!!

Wow! Where has the time gone??

We are back from holidays - an amazing trip - we left Ottawa with my mom and dh over a week ago. We went to Wasaga Beach, St. Jacob's, Port Stanley, crossed into Detroit - saw Motown (Hitsville USA - where all the motown stars did their recordings - AMAZING), we stayed in Greektown - played a little on the slots - lost 20 bucks before you could hit the button!!, saw a Detroit Tigers game, went to Cleveland - saw the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, found an outlet mall and many scrapbook and stamp stores, dropped my mom off and rounded our way home. Great trip!!! Will post pics later!!

On a sad note, my fav lss closed. Tomorrow's Treasures that has hosted so many of my exciting weekend events and crops has shut it's doors. Although it is tough for her customers, big kudos to Angie for deciding and sticking to her decision to spend more time with family. Too many life changing events require deep thought and re-alignment of priorities. All the best to Angie with her future endeavours. Here's hoping we can still make some of our weekend events come true!

My Etsy shop is starting to come together - I know I have joined at a time where the economy is tough and with summer vacations still in mode, I am quite happy with my sales so far.

Here are a few of my recent cards -
Based on a sketch at Stamping Bella!

Magnolia stamps!! Love these 2!!

This is the card that has been featured in 2 treasuries so far!! I actually sold the card last night and it headed to PA, today. Check back tomorrow - I will have 1 more in stock :)

I made this card for Lucas, for his birthday. It was also part of our 1:1 swap at SSZ, with Lorraine. The next card is the one she sent me.

Thanks for stopping by!!!!
