After a tough few months with kidney failure and daily IV, we had to put my special bud to sleep.  For 14 years, he was by my side.  I'll miss his crazy antics, never ending meows and his loveable purr.

I am on my way to Buffalo Stamps and Stuff!, to take 4 classes from Tim Holtz - today and tomorrow!!!! Can't wait! Will post my creations later!!!

PaperWorks Co. Sunday Sketch #36

This card is based on the sketch over at PaperWorks Co.  I decided to play with my copic airbrush system (for the grass), Tim Holtz masks (to layer the two Magnolia images and spray the grass), burlap distress ink around the edges and the sentiment is from High Hopes.  The Magnolia images are coloured with copics and the atyou spica markers for some sparkle.

What I did this weekend!!!!

I have been busy with a crop day and an online crop. 

This post is image heavy - but I would love to know what you think!!!!

I made this wall hanging with Wendy Vecchi stamps, Tim Holtz grungeboard and distress inks.  The album is from 7Gypsies.  The paper on the acrylic is from Tim's new paper line, too!!!

The following LOs and cards were for SSZ - the online crop they had this weekend - Stevie's bookmark card challenge.  The papers and embellishments are from Kaiser.

This picture was probably the last photo we had of the 4 of us, before my stepdad went into hospital, over 3 years ago.  It has been up in my scraproom - so, I decided to scrap it using all Kaisercraft, except the ribbon (unknown) and flowers from Prima.

This stamp is one of Krista's new ones - from the Stamp Barn. 

I coloured it with my copics and added some stickles.

I can't remember right now.  The flowers and paper are Prima.

We went to game 5 of the first round of the playoffs - Buffalo vs Boston. 

It was a great game and Buffalo won!!

The challenge, here, was to make a card using red, white and black and a symbol from the rummoli board

 - I picked the heart.

When we were at my mom's, Cuddles took up residence on the tub mat.  He sits on the mat at home, too, but it is on the floor.  Too funny.  Chris's uncle called him the tub ornament - hence the title.  I used Tim Holtz paper, sizzix die cut, letters and distresss ink.  The flowers are inked with distress ink, too.

Online Challenges

It's been awhile since I have posted a card in a challenge.  Here are 4!!

The first one is for the Copic Colour Challenge #64 I have used one of Krista's stamps from Sunshine Designs.  I had to use the copic colours - G00, BG23 and BV02. 

A Thank You and a New Certification

A big thanks to Denise at  Scrap~tures for having me as her first guest creative team member.  Despite all the family challenges I have had over the last few months, I really hope that I was able to inspire and provide ideas to the message board and the kit members.  I plan on sticking around!!!  Hopefully, I'll get back to a normal routine in the next few weeks.  I loved my spot as GCT!!

Today, started a new certification and hopefully, some new opportunities.  I completed my certification as a Copic Designer.  I can teach other about my favourite colouring medium - to scrapbookers, stampers, quilters and even Manga enthusiasts!!  I can't wait to see where this will take me.  Watch for some classes at Verna's in Smiths Falls (at Memory Lane) and perhaps some other places, too!!

Copic Weekend

Yesterday, I took 3 classes on Copics, Glimmer Mist and Prima Products.  Today, I am off to take the Copic Certification Course.  Both are being taught by Sally Lynn MacDonald!  Verna invited me as her DT - it was a great day, Saturday, and looking forward to so much more, today!!

I probably won't be posting for a bit.  After a lengthy illness, my stepfather passed away on Saturday morning.  My mom is in hospital, recovering from surgery and my cat is very sick as well.  Thoughts and prayers are appreciated....thx
